Bounce...Bounce..Bounce..

Looks like a Hillary-Rudy showdown is in the works...once the preliminaries are out of the way.

Trouble is, it looks like the Dems will pick up seats in the Senate next year, and the possibility is now very real that the new majority could overcome procedural Republican roadblocks now in place.

Rudy's best bet is to first get his side in order. By that I mean that he has to get the Christian Conservatives in line.....a monumental task considering his views on both the gay marriage and choice issues.

I think that in the final analysis they will come around considering the alternative of a Hillary presidency.

Rudy also needs to hammer the security issue . Despite the current administration's many mistakes made during the prosecution of the war, the one number that still has credibility is "zero"....that is how many attacks we have had on US soil since September 11,2001.

He also has to paint people like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Jack Murtha, and the rest of the liberal Democratic cabal for what they are: impediments to success in Iraq.

The Democratic leadership said that we have "lost" this war....and this point must be hammered home to the voters time and again.

Repubs are strong with security....they must go with that.

Finally, a strong VP candidate is necessary. Mitt Romney, to me is the ideal choice. Despite the perceived shortcomings of his Mormon background, his strong moral background and his conservative views on social issues will play well with both the conservative right AND the conservative Regan Democrats.

Hillary/ Obama and Rudy /Mitt.

That is how I see it for now.

Of course, things can change in a blink of an eye in politics.
